Bob has
distinguished himself as a forceful and effective agent of
change, with an outstanding record of success in achieving
operational improvements leading to enhanced cash flow in
complex business environments. He has over thirty years of
experience in engineering systems, operations, project management
and new product introductions. Bob has extensive global expertise
in many aspects of manufacturing, distribution, procurement,
quality and product information systems.
Bob’s
experience extends across a variety of business environments,
from family owned operations to Fortune 500 multinationals.
Regardless of the business size, his experiences have demanded
close integration between his operational and engineering
responsibilities with marketing and finance. Bob has served
as the Engineering Manager for Bausch & Lomb’s Eyewear
Business, where he implemented all new engineering systems,
developed the strategic engineering plan for ISO 9000 compliance
and championed cross-functional teams for process re-engineering.
His recognized abilities to integrate the multi-faceted functions
of this consumer driven business led to his appointment to
global brand management of some of the world’s most
recognized and respected brands.
Bob has
worked extensively with the Porsche Family to define, develop,
engineer and introduce the Porsche brand of sunglasses. This
global assignment ran the full gamut of a start-up enterprise,
including establishing quality standards, developing suppliers,
monitoring financials to ensure profitability and working
closely with the marketing and sales functions to help ensure
worldwide commercial success. With the sale of the Eyewear
Business to Luxottica, SpA, Bob has served in a variety of
capacities to effectively transition the business, including
plant manager.
Bob is
a graduate of Buffalo State University. He is a member of
Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Rochester Corvette
Club, and presently serves on the Board of an early stage
development, privately held company.
