Phil’s
worldwide financial leadership extends across a multitude
of industries, operating environments and locales. He brings
with him a full portfolio of financial expertise, and a documented
ability to solve complex problems through a deep understanding
of operations and a penchant for teamwork.
After
practicing as a CPA and consultant with Arthur Andersen &
Co., Phil quickly rose through the corporate ranks of Bausch
& Lomb, leading the Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting
and Corporate Audit Functions before being named Vice President
of Finance for B&L’s Global Eyewear business. Phil
provided worldwide financial, information technology and business
development leadership to this $500 million business, which
included the Ray-Ban brand. He played the lead role in doubling
the revenue base and significantly increasing the bottom line
and ROI of the global business through the acquisition of
some of the World’s most sought after sunglass brands
as well as through strategic alliances with the Porsche, Benetton
and Callaway families.
After
playing a key role in the sale of the eyewear portfolio to
Luxottica, SpA, Phil joined the acquiring company as CFO.
In addition, he served as a member of a three person senior
executive team responsible for the successful worldwide transition,
restructuring and integration of the acquired businesses into
Luxottica.
Phil
shares his vast array of experiences and expertise as a leader
in his community. He is President of Temple B’rith Kodesh,
Chairman of the Board and Endowment Chair of Compeer, Inc.
and provides active leadership to many other community and
charitable causes.
